Elizabeth (Liz) Ngonzi is an award-winning entrepreneurial leader, strategist, educator and international speaker, working at the intersections of people, impact and tech, enabling organizations in the private and social sectors to fulfill their missions and individuals to reach their potential.

As an adjunct faculty member at The Center for Global Affairs at NYU, she develops courses for nonprofit leaders and grant-makers worldwide, enabling them to leverage digital platforms to more effectively engage with their stakeholders.

As a trainer, she has created seminars and webinars for organizations such as Candid (formerly known as The Foundation Center), Vital Voices Global Partnerships, Kenya Association of Fundraising Professionals and Southern Africa Institute for Fundraising.

A member of the U.S. Speaker Program at the U.S. Department of State, Ms. Ngonzi is also an international public speaker who frequently addresses audiences about philanthropy, entrepreneurship, leadership, and digital innovations advancing development.

She previously served as turnaround CEO of Afrika Tikkun USA, the North American representative of the South African nonprofit, Afrika Tikkun. Afrika Tikkun is one of only three nonprofits worldwide for which then President Nelson Mandela volunteered to be Patron in Chief, in 1999 – which has for more than 25 years successfully delivered services to disadvantaged children in South Africa. She developed the North American arm into a next-gen nonprofit by leveraging digital media for fundraising and storytelling; drawing on her entrepreneurial approach to social impact; and creating strategic key cross-sector partnerships.

Ms. Ngonzi also founded and led a boutique consulting firm enabling nonprofits, corporations and media outlets to meet their mutually beneficial strategic objectives by identifying their shared relationships and facilitating ways in which they could creatively and efficiently pursue and meet their common goals.

She has been quoted and/or featured by CCTV America, CNBC, Crain’s NY Business, Forbes Woman, MarketWatch, NPR, The Chicago Tribune, The New York Times, The NonProfit Times, and The Washington Post.

Ms. Ngonzi has served as Communications Chair of the invitation-only President’s Council of Cornell Women; a member of the Advisory Board to the Dean of Syracuse University's iSchool; and was a founding member of the United Nations International School Alumni Council.

Ms. Ngonzi previously worked in high-tech marketing, B2B sales and management consulting with Digital Equipment Corporation, MICROS Systems, Inc. and Arthur Andersen, respectively. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems, from Syracuse University; and an MMH degree in Services Marketing, from Cornell University.
